A great overview of Catholic systematic theology for those who want to have a general idea. This is not an encyclopedia as Thomas Rausch notes in the introduction, but it is helpful for the beginner a clue and invitation to explore deeper issues of theology.

About the Author

Dr Grace McCarthy is Associate Dean (Education) in the Faculty of Business, University of Wollongong,  New South Wales,  Australia. Following many years in industry, Grace now specialises in coaching, mentoring and education. Grace developed the Master of Business Coaching at the University of Wollongong, combining inputs from industry with academic research and the requirements of professional associations. Launched in 2008, the course attracts experienced internal and external coaches, human resource and other professionals from around Australia, each passionate about coaching and seeking to enhance their skills and understand the theoretical underpinnings of their practice. Grace is on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Evidence-Based Coaching and Mentoring and reviews for this and other journals and conferences. In 2012, Grace was awarded an Australian Government Office of Learning and Teaching citation for ‘Using a coaching approach to inspire a love of learning among students and colleagues’.

Appropriate Behavior

I am not the sharpest leaf on the tree and had been out of college for more than ten years before picking up this book. The book is organized well and the information is easily understood. Each chapter begins with Learning Objectives, 3 Good reasons why you should care, and Making the case for organizational behavior that introduces the material in the chapter with describing a real organization. If you are serious about your education and want to learn something this book is designed exactly for that. The book has a free companion website for the student and an online instructor resource. The paperback is durable and the book easily fits into one hand. I am using this book for an online course and it is constantly being shoved in and out of my work bag and has held up well. Pleased with purchase.

Great Score at a Fair Price!

This score is the complete Broadway version of the show with all the incidental music etc. My Fair Lady is a classic Lerner and Lowe and students of musical theater need to have this. It contains pieces like The Ascot Gavotte...not found elsewhere. The Overture will take some careful fingerwork, but worth it. I'm a theater organist and find it easily adaptable.

The real thing

This score is exactly what is provided when a theater company rents the performance rights to My Fair Lady. Studying from this score has been a great advantage while preparing to conduct performances of this show.

The score arrived in excellent condition and well within the advertised time frame.
It is clearly printed and well cued for the various instruments. However, the instrumental cues,as marked, refer to the original instrumentation of the 1956 broadway performance and are not of much value to amateur performances using the supplied smaller Orchestra versions most groups will need to use.
If you are luckey enough to be able to use the larger orchestration then it is a great help to the MD who does not have the benefit of a full Orchestra score (partiture).

At the start of this scorching morality tale from Cleage (Babylon Sisters), Wesley "Baby Brother" Jamerson, a soldier reluctantly serving in Iraq, is on a five-day emergency leave in Washington, D.C., because his mother has died. But Wes, who "had made an art form of avoiding responsibility," has no plans to attend his mother's funeral. Nor does he intend to return to his unit in Iraq. A failed attempt to visit his older sister, Cassie, to whom he's shown little gratitude despite all her efforts to help him, leads to a lecture from his judge brother-in-law: "You youngbloods think the world owes you a living, and for what? You're mad at your mamas, mad at your daddies, mad at the women foolish enough to have your children. Always crying the blues." It's downhill for the self-destructive Wes from there. Cleage manages to end on a note of uplift, but an overly complex plot and a surfeit of underdeveloped supporting characters diminish the impact of this novel of infidelity and greed.

Kwame Hargrove is the son of local politician, Precious Hargrove. He is a talented architect with a secret that makes it easy for Baby Brother to blackmail him. One of her Best

I have read every fiction book written by Ms. Cleage and this is one of her best. The setting is the same as in many of her books and so are the characters. The story takes place in Atlanta and the story never once lost my attention. What I found to be so unique is the fact that the main character is not a good guy. I kept waiting for him to "get it" and wanting him to "get it" but I'll say no more since you'll have to read the book to find out if he did.

I have not bought a novel buy Pearl Cleage that is not worth reading and would read more than once. I usually share the book with my daughter and she with others so there are others buying the book but its worth it. Always

A Man with the Ocean in His Eyes!

Pearl, Thank you for bringing Blue Hamilton back to your readers who craved more of this fine chocolate man with the ocean in his eyes and the smooth velvet in his voice. You have not only given us a West End neighborhood where women and children are safe, but a hero whose life's mission is to keep it that way. We can not question Blue's loyalties, though we must question those of some of your other colorful characters. This vibrant novel is your best since 'What Looks Like Crazy on an Ordinary Day!'
